The Virgin Islands NPC

The US Virgin Islands NPC was formed in 2012 when a para equestrian, Lee Frawley, qualified for the London 2012 Paralympics. The team have had an athlete representing the islands at each subsequent Paralympics: Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 (2021) and Paris 2024.

 

Now that the Virgin Islands are firmly on the Paralympic map, our ambition is to grow this presence in para sports. As a non-profit organisation we rely heavily on donations to help fund our athletes, equipment and training, allowing them the opportunity to compete on the International stage.

Could you be our next athlete?

We currently have athletes competing in track and field, para cycling and para equestrian, however we are constantly on the look-out for enthusiastic visually or physically impaired athletes who are interested in trying these or other para sports such as swimming, archery or fencing and joining the team with the possibility of major international competitions in the future.

Para Sports

By highlighting their achievements, Para sports foster greater awareness, acceptance, and support for people with disabilities, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive society.
